An HBW Construction Sales Representative drives sales by focusing on acquisition, development and management of prospective clients in designated territories. The Sales Representative identifies new business opportunities by making connections with key professionals in the real estate, property management, and construction/design community.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support HBW's sales strategy based on Company goals promoting sales growth and client satisfaction.
  • Cultivate existing client relationships to generate repeat business through regular client check-ins, entertaining clients, and ensuring work is performed above expectations.
  • Actively research and generate new leads through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, client referrals, and networking
  • Learn HBW Construction's unique, competitive advantages "Why a customer should hire us."
  • Create and deliver face-to-face sales presentations to prospective clients. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of HBW's core competencies.
  • Prequalify prospective clients.
  • Attend out-of-office client meetings before, during and after project completion to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Share value-added professional knowledge with clients to identify and address issues before they become problems.
  • Work with the Estimating team to explore alternative solutions and methods to increase competitive edge on bids.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings for new bid opportunities.
  • Participate in weekly construction team meetings and marketing meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-3 years experience in business development or client relations in the construction, architectural, engineering, or supplier to these and related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building resulting in increased revenue opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts in the marketplace.
  • Knowledge of construction or related industry.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with strong presentation, communication (verbal and written), problem solving, intra personal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure, professionalism and objectivity in difficult situations and effectively resolve conflicts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
